Crockpot BBQ Pulled Pork + bonus leftovers recipe

Delicious BBQ Pulled Pork in the crockpot is one of the easiest dinners in the world.
You only need 5 things:
Pork, 4-5 lb pork butt
Garlic powder/salt
Root Beer*
BBQ sauce, 2 cups
1 Onion, quartered
*you can use coke or dr. Pepper. I haven't tried dr. Pepper but I've tried coke and root beer and I like root beer the best, although only a very slight difference.
Mix it all together with the root beer just almost covering all of the pork, cook in the crockpot on high for 4 to 6 hours, or low for 8. Be careful to make sure you cook the pork all of the way through. I don't like to mess around with undercooked pork.
Drain out extra juice once fully cooked (or I just get all of the meat out with a spoon with holes!) Serve on buns with your favorite BBQ sauce, coleslaw and baked beans! I also like to top my sandwich off with a little slice of American cheese. It gets all melty and delicious with the warm pulled pork on it!
Serving: 6 - 8 and probably expect leftovers (see leftover recipe)
Sorry there's no picture, I was too busy enjoying every ooey gooey messy moment with company. But you know what a pulled pork sandwich looks like!
The real story here is the BBQ pulled pork pizza I made with the leftovers! Head on over to my BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza Recipe!
