This is hands down the best artichoke dip recipe I have ever had. It's creamy, delicious and oh so flavorful. And there really isn't another recipe for artichoke dip like it, at least that I have been able to find.
Like most of my favorite recipes, I have my sister to thank. She got this recipe from one of her co-workers years ago and it has been a staple at family functions ever since. Every single holiday, family get-together, random craving I ask my sister for this recipe. I am somehow weirdly cursed when it comes to keeping/finding it. She has texted it to me, emailed to me, written it down and stuck it in a recipe folder for me. And I lose it every single time...until now! And neither will you because now it is on The Search for YUM blog!
I kept putting off sharing this recipe here since I ALWAYS forget to take a picture before it gets devoured (which is about 2 seconds after its taken out of the oven - Warning, this dip is so good you might burn your mouth because you are unable to wait for it to cool down).
What You'll Need:
1 1/2 packages of cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayo
3/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1 can of artichokes, drained and chopped
How You'll Do It:
1. Blend cream cheese, sour cream and mayo until smooth.
2. Add in the rest of the ingredients - parmesan cheese, onion, garlic powder, artichokes.
3. Mix well.
4. Sprinkle top generously with Italian bread crumbs.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes.
6. Enjoy!
Don't have all of these ingredients and still really craving artichoke dip? One of the times when I couldn't find this recipe, I tried to recreate it. I failed at recreating the extreme deliciousness of the original recipe but succeeded in making a very yummy artichoke dip with only 5 ingredients: can of artichokes, mayo, sour cream, parmesan cheese and bread crumbs all mixed together and baked at 350 until warm. I didn't measure, I just added to taste.
Let me know which one you try/like best!
